Given the prevelance of the ISD in the fleet, the existence of examples of larger vessels I must conclude that the ISD is in fact a destroyer. One of the novels tell (Spectre of the PAst I beleive) tells us that the Empire had 25,000 Star Destroyers, I'm assuming that means ISDs and doesn't include Victory, Venator or Executor ships. If the Imps had a million warships how could the have lost to a ragtag force of only a few dozen ships.Įven the fact that many Imps turned on each other dosen't explain the defeat. I've often heard the number of a million ship fleet for the Empire but that never really made sense to me.
